About Afforvia
We are an independent, non-commercial research platform dedicated to making global economic data accessible, understandable, and useful for everyone.
Making Economic Data Accessible to All
Afforvia was founded on a straightforward premise: understanding how purchasing power varies across the globe should not require access to expensive databases or specialized economic training.
We compile, calculate, and present purchasing power research in a clear, structured format — free of charge, free of commercial bias, and grounded in reputable international data sources.
Our platform serves researchers, students, journalists, policymakers, and anyone who wants to understand the real economic conditions facing households in different parts of the world.
Our Core Principles
Every research decision at Afforvia is guided by these commitments.
Independence
We are not affiliated with any government, financial institution, or commercial entity. Our analyses are not commissioned or influenced by external parties.
Transparency
Every methodology, assumption, and data source is documented and publicly available. We explain what we measure and why — including the limitations of our approach.
Accessibility
All research and educational content on Afforvia is free to access. We do not offer paid services, premium tiers, or subscription products.
Rigor
We apply established economic frameworks and source data exclusively from recognized international statistical bodies. Where data quality is uncertain, we say so explicitly.
What We Measure
Our research covers the key dimensions of household economic wellbeing.
Purchase prices and rental costs relative to income across income brackets and regions.
Cost of essential and non-essential goods measured in hours of median-wage labor.
Real wage growth and inflation dynamics and their net effect on purchasing capacity.

About Our Data
Afforvia does not collect primary data. We aggregate, harmonize, and analyze data from internationally recognized statistical organizations including the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the United Nations Statistics Division (UNSD), Eurostat, and national statistical agencies.
While we take every reasonable step to ensure accuracy, no secondary analysis of third-party data can be completely free from errors or gaps. We encourage users to consult the original source data for any critical decisions.
